If you are anything like me (congrats if you’re not!) you’re currently thinking “Uh-oh, time to start whipping out some last minute gifts.” While there’s plenty of time to shop in stores, you’re running out of time to buy a gift online and the stores are only getting busier and busier with stock on the decrease!
The way I think of gift-giving is: if you can’t think of something they need, buy them something everyone could use/love but not too likely to go out and buy themselves as we’re all busy paying for more necessary items than just plain wants.
I’ve complied a simple as gift guide for men, women, kids, babies, grandparents and the people you don’t particularly care enough to get a thoughtful gift for! While I’ve provided some specific products for ideas, these are basic gifts you’ll be able to keep in mind and get anywhere, particularly on Christmas Eve, amiright?
1 and 2. Candles & nice smelling things for the home
Dusk is one of my favourite stores when it comes to buying for people that I’m just not sure what else to buy from Candles to Home Fragrance to other accessories for the house. I mean, who is really going to argue with gifts that will make their home smell better? They have such a range from cheap, beautiful gifts to more expensive gifts for those who seriously love a good candle or smelly goods for the home. They’re also a tonne of sales and deals online at the moment, so get on it now!
3. Beauty gift packs

Anyone and everyone could use a good pampering every now and then, and so many people won’t spend good money on good quality products. So gift packs are good ideas for both male and female because it’s an opportunity to try a new brand or get good brand goodies without having to reach into their pocket.
We’re all walking into the same new year, some more prepared than others! Planners and calendars are such good gifts as everyone can use them (some will use them more than others, however) and they can be as expensive or inexpensive as you like. You can also find some free printables on the internet and create your own for someone!
Anyone and everyone can use wall prints for their home decor – women, men, babies, kids and grandparents! You can find some heaps cheap either framed or you can pick up your own. OR if you’re really last minute and really looking forward to saving money, create your own or find some free printables online and frame it for a personal touch!

Most people like a bit of arm candy and there’s a wide range of watches out there, whether they’re cheap or expensive they make a perfect gift! Such as the Leather Strap Classic by Atmos+Here for only $39!
What’s even easier…

DVDs are such an easy option – especially for Secret Santa! You can get great box sets or put together your own sets or just get one for the person that you’re not that close with and just want to give something simple.
Coffee table books:

Coffee table books are always my perfect fall-back present. You can get them attuned to peoples interests such as music or art, or some such as Humans of New York which anyone will be interested in. Don’t forget cook books as well! Books are just lovely things to own but with the internet being what it is, so many people won’t actually spend money on a real book.
