Here I am! After organising a trip to Thailand, travelling to Thailand and catching up on uni work afterwards, I am finally back and ready to show some lovin’ around here and show you some of the highlights from my trip!
We visited the picturesque Phi Phi Islands off the coast of Phuket with a fantastic tour group. Throughout the day we visited the Phi Phi Islands, Monkey Island, Viking Cave, the beach from the film “The Beach” and a more places where every photo is a postcard photo.
We then ventured out of Phuket to stay in a smaller city called Khao Lak where we stayed at a resort right on the beach as pictured above. Words cannot describe how much my group enjoyed staying in Khao Lak; the people were amazing and it was just as you would picture a city in Thailand.
We caught a few sunsets at the resort over the beach. Coupled with cheap and amazing cocktails from the pool bar during happy hour, these occasions were exactly how you envision a relaxing getaway.
One of the biggest highlights from the trip was by far the day-long temple tour around the temples of Phang Nga. We had a tour guide we will never forget, experienced spirituality we wouldn’t usually, saw some of the most amazing sights to be seen in Thailand and really experienced the culture.
When we weren’t drinking, getting pampered or eating, we were at the markets! The shopping was fantastic, the market food was fantastic and the people were as beautiful as they get.
While I have not pictured cocktails or cuisine, they were easily a huge part of the whole holiday.
Overall, the holiday was an amazing choice. It didn’t hurt our pockets to travel here, the food was phenomenal (I can’t eat another Thai curry at home in AUS!), we made so many beautiful friends and really experienced a beautiful culture.
On our last day as we were fare-welling all of our newly made friends, each would shout “See you next year!” which summed up the experience perfectly – you just have to go back.
So make sure you pin these photos to remind yourself exactly where to go when you plan this trip!
